Aubergine – White Casper (Italian) – Approx 10 Seeds
The White Casper aubergine is known for both its exceptional flavour and ghostly white skin colour. Its earthy flavour and silky texture make these 5–6″ fruits taste similar to mushrooms. An heirloom from France, these moderately-sized plants are a good choice for small spaces.
Sow Indoors: 10–12 weeks before average last frost date. When transplanting, bury plants up to their first leaves.
Sow Outdoors: 2–4 weeks after average last frost date in areas with a long growing season.
Sowing Instructions: Sow seeds at a depth of around 0.75cm into well-prepared soil, allow at least 30cm spacing between plants (suitable for growing in large pots of at least 5 litres in volume). It requires a sunny position and doesn’t require too much water, except in very dry conditions (around an inch a week will generally suffice).
