Wong Bok has barrel-shaped heads with crisp light green leaves. The hearts can be eaten in raw salads or in stir-fries. A fast-growing cabbage, in ideal conditions it is ready to harvest in 2.5 months.

Sow the seeds in a seed tray or in small pots in late spring inside, or in late summer in a seedbed outside, about 1 cm deep.

When seedlings are large enough to handle, plant them individually, keep them inside until they have 4-6 leaves.

Plant outside, spacing 16in x 18in, in well-drained soil, be sure to water the plants in sunny spells, protect them from birds and slugs.
