Description
Sage is a handsome shrub with downy grey-green leaves and blue flowers that grows to 60cm. It is used extensively in cooking, in stuffings, sauces, cheeses and pork dishes.
Sow outdoors, in situ, in May, and thin to sturdiest plant. Sage should be sown every three or four years as plants become woody and lose flavour. Pick leaves to use fresh throughout the summer
